What the site processes

Online Keyboard Synth is a client-side web application. The synthesizer, the MIDI input, and the recorder all run locally in your browser using the Web Audio, Web MIDI, and MediaRecorder APIs. Notes you play and audio you record are processed on your device and are never transmitted to any server by the synth code. Unsaved recordings stay in page memory and are discarded when you leave or reload the page; downloaded copies are kept wherever you choose to save them.

Accounts and personal data

There is no registration, no login, and no user profile. We do not ask for your name, email address, or any personal information to use the synthesizer.

Cookies and analytics

The site code sets no cookies. Plausible Analytics, served from our self-hosted installation at analytics.lingyi.systems, measures aggregate page views without cookies or persistent identifiers; it additionally counts outbound-link clicks, file downloads and form submissions as totals, not the content of what you clicked, downloaded or submitted. Your last sound and any sounds you choose to save are stored in your browser's local storage so you can return to them. Use Remove in My sounds to delete a named sound. To remove the automatically restored last sound and all named sounds together, clear this site's data in your browser settings. Recordings remain in memory until you leave the page; download them to keep them. If we add further analytics or advertising in the future (for example Google Analytics or Google AdSense), this policy will be updated before they go live, describing what is collected, the cookies involved, and how to opt out.

MIDI permission

If you connect a MIDI keyboard, the browser may ask your permission to access MIDI devices. That permission is granted to your browser, not to us — note data is handled locally to play the synth and is not sent anywhere. You can revoke the permission at any time in your browser's site settings.

Contacting us

The contact form does not submit anything to this website. It puts the name, email address, topic, and message you entered into a draft in your email app. Nothing is sent until you choose to send that draft. After you send it, your email provider and the receiving email provider process the message under their own policies. Their retention settings are outside this site's control.

Third-party requests

Every page requests the Quicksand font stylesheet and font files from Google Fonts. The homepage also loads directory badge images directly from AIToolFame, DANG, and goodaitools. When your browser requests these resources, those providers receive ordinary network information such as your IP address and browser request headers. Other displayed directory badge images are served from this site's own files. We do not control the external providers' logs or retention periods.

Hosting and server logs

The published site must be delivered by a hosting provider, which may keep standard access or security logs. The source code does not expose that provider's current log settings or retention period, so this policy does not claim that no server log exists.

Changes to this policy
