What the site processes

Online Keyboard Synth is a client-side web application. The synthesizer, the MIDI input, and the recorder all run locally in your browser using the Web Audio, Web MIDI, and MediaRecorder APIs. Notes you play and audio you record are processed on your device and are never transmitted to any server. Recordings exist only where you save them.

Accounts and personal data

There is no registration, no login, and no user profile. We do not ask for your name, email address, or any personal information to use the synthesizer.

Cookies and analytics

The site itself sets no cookies and does not use analytics tracking. Your last sound and any sounds you choose to save are stored locally on your device so you can return to them. Recordings remain in memory until you leave the page; download them to keep them. If we add privacy-respecting analytics or advertising in the future (for example Google Analytics or Google AdSense), this policy will be updated before they go live, describing what is collected, the cookies involved, and how to opt out.

MIDI permission

If you connect a MIDI keyboard, the browser may ask your permission to access MIDI devices. That permission is granted to your browser, not to us — note data is handled locally to play the synth and is not sent anywhere. You can revoke the permission at any time in your browser's site settings.

Contacting us

If you email us or use the contact form, we receive the name, email address, and message you choose to send, and we use them only to reply to you. We don't add you to a list, and we don't share your message with third parties.

Third-party requests

The pages load one font stylesheet from Google Fonts; your browser makes that request directly to Google, which may see your IP address as part of serving the file. No other third-party content is embedded.

Changes to this policy
